BCF Yarn - PBT

carpets

PBT- Polybutylene Terephthalate is considered as new polymer in Carpets & Rugs manufacturing. Apart from its application in Sportswear, Intimatewear, Swimwear and automobile hosiery, the PBT polymer has been found suitable for Bulk continous filament extrusion succesfuly used in carpet manufacturing . PBT yarn is known for comfort, softness, greater elasticity, better color absorbtion, anti-pollution ability and low water absorbtion rate.

WESTEX has taken trials in successful trial in various Decitex ranging from 900-6000 in various types such in Plain, Heat set Straight and Friese.

PBT BCF Carpet Yarn

To produce PBT BCF yarns , the PBT granules and required master batch are fed into specially designed extruder. Here, the mixture is melted and the molten polymer is passed thru spinnert holes and cooled to form filament. There after these filaments are clubbed, spin finish oil is applied, passed over heated godgets with drawing process and then fed to texturizing unit for inducing bulk properties there after passing it thru cooling drum. The yarn is passed through tangling jets for inserting nips which binds the filament and helps in unwinding the yarn in next process. There after yarn is winded on tubes/bobbin.

PBT BCF Heat Set Straight Carpet Yarn

To produce Heat Set Straight Yarn, the PBT BCF yarn is laid in coiled form on a belt and passed through a tunnel for a specified time.  Specific temperature and steam is supplied into the tunnel, so that the twist in the yarn gets fixed permanently and the yarn becomes Straight Heatset yarn. The yarn is winded on tube and bobbins are produced with specific length and weight as per requirement of customer.

PBT BCF Frieze Heat Set Carpet Yarn

In Freize process, the PBT BCF Yarn bobbins are put on creel and then fed to a stuffer box of  a heatset machine. Specific temperature, pressure and steam is supplied into stuffer box. There, the yarn gets mechanical deformation and crimp is induced in the yarn. Then it is laid on a belt which is passed through a tunnel for a specified time. Specific temperature and steam is supplied in to tunnel, so that the curling effect due to mechanical deformation gets set into the yarn permanently.
